Warner Jean Mercher, a beloved homemaker, passed away on January 26, 2025, at The Cottages of Texarkana at the age of 87. Born on November 28, 1937, in Texarkana, Arkansas, she lived a life filled with simple joys and deep connections.
Warner Jean loved spending her time coloring, working on word puzzles, and watching her favorite shows, including Jerry Springer, Wilko's show, the news, and classic Westerns like The Rifleman and Gunsmoke. In her final days at the nursing home, she made many friends, and the staff affectionately called her "Momma." Her laughter and uplifting spirit brightened the lives of those around her.
She leaves behind her adopted daughter, Loretta McMillen, and a dear friend, Norris Lewis. She was also a loving grandmother to four adopted grandchildren: Maurice Owens Jr. and Cayla Lewis, who were closest to her, as well as Jermiah Owens and Elisha Lewis.
Warner Jean will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
