Thomas Steven Turney

Thomas Steven Turney, age 62 of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at a local hospital.  He was born January 20, 1960 to Tommy & Alva Jo Turney.  He was a 1978 graduate of Texarkana Arkansas Senior High School.  He was an extraordinary mechanic all his life, if it was broke, he could fix it.  He also was an avid lover of animals, especially cats and his dog, forever sidekick Hank.  In his spare time, he was at the family pond, or the local lakes, throwing a fishing line, one of his favorite hobbies that reminded him of his Dad.  Also, a true Arkansas Razorback fan, he made it a habit not to miss any game that was on the television. He was preceded in death by his father Tommy Joe Turney, and one son, Christopher Daughtrey.  He is survived by his mother, Alva Jo Turney of Texarkana, Arkansas, daughters Cara Fowler (Justin) of Texarkana, AR, Ashley Richardson (Clint) of Camden, Arkansas, his sons Patrick Reynolds and David Turney.  His sisters Deanna Parker (Kelley), Debra Hughes (Larry), Thala Bolig (Robert), Regina Lynch (Joby), all of Texarkana, his brothers Ricky Turney (Lisa) of Fouke, Arkansas, and Keith Turney (Susan) of Elkins, Arkansas.  His grandchildren Sydney Clem, Isabelle Fowler, Gabriel Fowler, Rhett Richardson, Emmett Richardson and great granddaughter Audrey Clem, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Steve was a very private person, and per his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.  Private family burial arrangements will be with the family.  Those wishing condolences may make a donation to the Animal Care and Adoption Center in Texarkana.
