Terry Don McNutt

Terry Don McNutt, a dedicated administrator and cherished family man, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, at the age of 77 in his hometown of Texarkana, Texas. Born on September 10, 1947, he devoted his life to serving others, particularly in his role as an administrator of a nursing home, where his compassion and commitment to the well-being of residents left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Terry proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War where he was a medic whom received the Purple Heart medal, an experience that shaped his character and instilled in him a strong sense of duty. His military service was a testament to his commitment to his country, and he carried the values he learned during this time throughout his life. He was a member of the Elks for 54 years and exalted ruler 4 times, and district deputy for Northeast Texas Grand Lodge, he was a member of the Moose Lodge for 18 years. 

Known for his loving personality, Terry deeply cherished his wife, Janice McNutt, and his three children: Jason McNutt, Robert McNutt, and Teri Green. He often spoke fondly of his family, viewing them as the cornerstone of his life and the source of his greatest joy. He is also survived by his brother, Jack McNutt, who, along with other family and friends, will remember him fondly for his unwavering support and love.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Martha Herrell and Jack McNutt, who provided him with a strong foundation of values and integrity. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Tri-State Cremation and Funeral Services.
