Suzanne Icenhower, born on January 26, 1950, in Austin, Texas, passed away on March 31, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. She was a beloved educator, dedicating her career to teaching she retired from Arkansas High School, she taught at North Heights School and College Hill, where she inspired countless students with her passion for learning and commitment to their success.
Suzanne pursued her teaching degree with the intent to cultivate young minds, a mission she fulfilled with dedication throughout her career. She was known for her approachable demeanor and the unwavering support she extended to her students. Beyond her professional achievements, Suzanne cherished her personal interests, most notably her love for antiques, which often reflected her appreciation for history and craftsmanship.
Her legacy lives on through her family. Suzanne is survived by her devoted husband, Danny Icenhower, and her three sons: Chris Chandler and his wife Brandy, Dustin Icenhower and his wife Kristen, and Darby Icenhower and his wife Joni. She was a proud grandmother to Aden Chandler, Anabeth Icenhower, Langley Swiatek and her husband Tomek, Ethan Icenhower and his wife Bobbi, and Joli Icenhower. Additionally, she took immense joy in her role as a great-grandmother to Josie Icenhower.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her mother and father.. Her memory will be honored during a family memorial service held on April 6, 2025.
As we remember Suzanne Icenhower, we celebrate a life dedicated to education, family, and a passion for the treasures of the past. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
