Sharon K. (Johnson) Hood – November 7, 1944 – March 22, 2023 Sharon Kay (Johnson) Hood, 78, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. She was born November 7, 1944 in Oppelo, Ar. She was preceded in death by her parents; Aloysius Lamar (AL) Johnson and Ruby Dail (Seay) Porter; brothers John Steven Porter and Gary Wayne Johnson. She is survived by her children; Bridget R. Kennedy; Burl V. Hood Jr.; Donna K. Lugo; Richard A. Hood; ShawnaRae D. (Jason) Walters; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; one brother Dail Johnson. Sharon was a retired RN and worked for both Wadley and St. Michael’s hospital and also did travel and home health nursing. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, painting, bowling, pool, and karaoke. She will be remembered most by her children as being a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and as the bravest and strongest woman they will ever know. A memorial service and burial at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens is pending.
