Robert Jerold "Jerry" Ward, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on April 8, 2025, in Texarkana, Texas, at the age of 84. Born on December 23, 1940, in Clarksville, Texas, Jerry lived a life characterized by love, dedication, and a passion for hunting, fishing, and square dancing.
Jerry’s career as a Tool and Die Maker showcased his meticulous craftsmanship and strong work ethic. His skills extended beyond the workshop; he was also a proud member of the United States Army, where he served his country with honor.
A man who cherished family above all, Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Ann Ward, and their son, Robert Allan Ward. He leaves behind a legacy enriched by the laughter and joy of 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. His brother, Glenn Ward of Fayetteville, Georgia, also mourns his passing, along with many loving family members and friends who will remember him dearly.
Jerry was not only known for his dedicated work but also for his vibrant personality. He was a loving individual who found immense joy in being outdoors and laughing with friends. His involvement with the Guys and Dolls Square Dance Club was a testament to his love for dancing with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elgain and Louise Ward, whose memory he cherished throughout his life. Jerry’s legacy of kindness, devotion, and infectious enthusiasm for life will continue to resonate with all who were fortunate enough to know him. The warmth of his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he loved.
