She was the devoted mother of six children: the late Steven Dwayne Potter; Shannon Lee Hayes and husband Dave of Glendale, Arizona; Patricia Jean Fenton of California; John Samuel Fenton and wife LaTatasha of New Boston, Texas; Andrew James Potter and wife Sarah of Fort Worth, Texas; and Sarah Elizabeth O'Rear and husband Kyle of Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Mary was a woman of remarkable simplicity and fiery spirit, whose greatest joy was found in her unwavering faith and deep love for her family. She loved reading—whether it was a novel or the sacred words of her Bible—and cherished time spent with her grandchildren. One of her greatest wishes after leaving California was to see the ocean again, a dream she was blessed to fulfill, creating precious memories with her loved ones. She was known for her strength, selflessness, and generosity, always putting others before herself. Despite life’s hardships, she never hesitated to lend a hand to those in need. Her kindness and unwavering love made her a safe haven for her family, a source of wisdom and comfort.Though we grieve her passing, we take solace in knowing she is at peace, reunited in Heaven with her beloved son, Steven, and her granddaughter, Trinity.

Her legacy of love and faith will continue to shine through the many lives she touched.
