Loretta Jean Hicks was welcomed into this world on December 5,1949 in Fort Smith AR to Mary and Neal ( Lucky) Luckenbaugh. She had 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Linda Gibson of Red Water TX. Janice and Jim Hodges of De Queen AR. David and Norma Luckenbaugh of Dallas TX. Darryl Luckenbaugh of Bossier City LA.

Loretta married the love of her life Gary Hicks in October 1988. Her daughter Anita Norman of Genoa AR.. Loretta had a total of 9 grandchildren. KSea Norman of Hope AR , Michaela and Darrell Weaver of Hope AR. Zowie and Dustin Dougan of Hope AR. Zachary and Caylee Norman of Genoa and Sofia Grace of Genoa AR. Deidre and Shawn Riley of Mandeville AR . Jesse and Ashley Buckley of Mandeville AR and Jeromy Buckley of Mandeville AR. Stormy Parks of Genoa Ar.

Loretta was blessed with 13 Great Grandchildren. Cayden and JSea Brown, Zander and MaKayla Weaver of Hope AR. Carter Norman, Conner and Jackson Parks of Genoa AR. Eli and Isiah Buckley, Alexis, Baylee, Calie and Addi Riley all of Mandeville, Arkansas.

Loretta left this world in the early hours of Aug. 23, 2024 to reunite with her husband and Heavenly Father. She had a brother Michael and Maria Luckenbaugh and Laura and John Clubine as well as her mother a father waiting her arrival at Heavens Gates.


Loretta's favorite hobbies: Loretta loved to go camping! Fishing ran through her veins as well as watching the hummingbirds fly around the hanging flower baskets on the front porch. Family time was very important to her.

Loretta's favorite foods: Mom loved her hamburgers and fries as much as fresh catfish and hush puppies. But she was always down for Mexican food and a good margarita!

Favorite bands and musical artists: Conway Twitty, and Neal Diamond held a special place in her heart. Let’s not forget how she would say she loved “that black man,” meaning Clint Black ! That’s the only way she could remember him…. Inside joke

Interesting facts about Loretta: Loretta had 3 brain aneurysms back in 1998 and the doctors didn’t give her a 5% chance of even making it off the operating table, but she showed them all… she came out of the hospital a new woman a woman with a voice a woman to be reckoned with. A woman full of life, love and adventure. Loretta went on to leave another 26 years full of family and friends.

Loretta loved nothing more than: Loretta had two daughters Anita Norman of Genoa AR and Renee Dixon of Fouke AR.

Favorite place in the world: Loretta was most comfortable on the fishing banks with her pole in the water…. Living her Best Life Ever

Favorite TV shows: She spent hours watching Heartland, CSI , In the heat of the night but Walker Texas Ranger was an all time favorite at the end.
