Glyn Dale Sanders was born on April 28, 1947, in Dallas, TX, to Minnie Odessa Eldred and Wylie Luther Sanders. Glyn was blessed with 77 years on this earth before he joined his heavenly family. He is preceded in joining the joyous afterlife by both of his parents, Minnie and Wylie Sanders, his sister, Brenda Perez, and his brother-in-law, David Combs.
The family he left to continue his legacy are his beautiful wife of 60 years, Kathy Sanders; daughter, Glynda Townsend, and husband, Kevin, of Hope; granddaughter, Lyndsie Rollins, and husband, Brandon, of Stamps; great-grandchildren, Graycee and Jacob Rollins of Stamps; and sister, Sharon Combs of Wills Point, TX. The imprint he has left on people over time will continue his legacy and name in the utmost shining light. He will be immensely missed by family and friends.
Along with priding himself on being a very devoted family man, he was an avid lover of travel and speed. He was known to be anywhere from an airplane, helping behind a parts counter, driving a truck, and, most importantly, at Ennis or Green Valley Raceway, flying down the drag strip with his family cheering him on.
In lieu of a traditional ceremony, there will be a celebration of him and the amazing life he lived. The family has coordinated with the Hope Church of Christ, and the celebration will be in the fellowship hall on Friday, February 7, at 2 p.m.
