Cheryl "Cherri" Lynn Whaley, 56, of New Boston, Texas, passed away on November 28, 2024. She was born on May 17, 1968, in Texarkana, Texas, to Charlotte and Gary Davis.
Cherri proudly served her country in the United States Army and later worked at Red River Army Depot. She was known for her love of family, her playful spirit, and her enjoyment of "pushing buttons," Lifetime TV, and creating cherished memories with her loved ones.
She is survived by her loving husband, Terrance Earl Whaley; her siblings, Tonya McAdoo and husband Shawn, Jackie Davis and husband Shane McAdoo, and Gary Davis Jr.; her children, Chevy Rials, Michael Scott, Darron Scott, Aaron Scott, Cameron Upchurch, and Deonte Whaley; and her beloved grandchildren: Addison Orta, Ryan Elder, Gage Rials, Skye Rials, Chad Scott, Chozen Whaley, Layla Rose Upchurch, and Addilyne Grace Upchurch. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Cherri was preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte and Gary Davis, and her grandparents, Jack and Una Mae Russell and Jesse and Marvell Davis.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Cherri’s life will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the home of Cherri and Terrance Whaley.
Cherri will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
