Bobby W. Beckham, 76, of Texarkana, AR, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday May 15th, 2024. Born May 6, 1948, in Greenwood Ms, to William James and Minnie Beatrice Beckham. With a passion for family, Bobby had a strong sense of responsibility and respect, which he instilled in his children. Whether coaching from the sidelines or officiating games, Bobby's love for baseball and softball was unwavering for over 40 years. Outside of work and sports, Bobby's heart belonged to his family. He cherished the simple moments of love and laughter. Whether it was a backyard barbecue or a family holiday gathering, Bobby was always sure to liven the crowd, knowing that these moments were the true treasures of life. His legacy is in the hearts he touched along the way. For Bobby Beckham, life wasn't just a game; it was an adventure filled with making every moment count.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Betty Jo Beckham, his parents; siblings; Dorothy Weeks, Burtis Beckham, Glenn Beckham, Earlene Lishman, Walter Beckham, Ricky Beckham, and Jesse Beckham. He is survived by his sisters Mary Harris and Hazel Kidd and his brother James Beckham as well as two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bobby D. and Linda Beckham and Christopher Beckham; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Stacey and Lonnie Smith, Tammy and Chris Becker, Marsha and Jason Curtis, Pamela and Theo Massey, and Crystal Beckham; grandchildren, Drew Johnson, Ashley Sanders, Heidi Hamilton, Lonnie D. Smith, Amber Foreback, Cody Becker, Kristen Easley, Mason Curtis, Destiny Curtis, Annastasia Massey, Ian Beckham, Micah Beckham, Chase Beckham, McKenzie Beckham, Kyler Beckham, Keegan Beckham; numerous great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Visitation will be held at 2:00pm with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 1st Biker’s Church of Texarkana at 8085 West 7th St in Texarkana, Texas, with Matthew Butler and Ronnie Freeman officiating. Flowers sent before Sunday may be sent to 2823 Hickory St. Flowers may be sent to the church after 1:00pm on Sunday. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
